Why should I choose dental implants?

Think of an implant as a full tooth replacement, not just a filler for a gap. A titanium post set in the jaw supports a crown made to look, feel and work like the tooth that's missing.

Anchored in the bone, the implant gives the new tooth firm support when you eat, talk and laugh, and it helps preserve the jawbone and the shape of your face over time. You'll pay more at the start than with other options; in return, the implant is meant to serve you for many years.

Placement Planned Before We Start

We plan implant placement from your imaging before we ever pick up a drill, so there's no guesswork in the chair. An implant replaces your whole tooth, root included.

All-on-X Implants

For a full arch of missing or failing teeth, All-on-X replaces the entire arch on just 4-6 implants — a fixed set of teeth instead of a removable denture. Ask at your visit whether it could work for you.

The Benefits of Dental Implants

What sets implants apart from removable options.

Natural Feel & Function

Brush, floss and chew with it just like a natural tooth.

Built to Match

We match the crown's shape, size and shade to the teeth around it so it fits in with your smile.

Protects Your Jawbone

The titanium post integrates with your jawbone, stimulating it and helping prevent the bone loss that follows a missing tooth.

Implant Solutions

Single Tooth Implants

A titanium post anchored in the jawbone with a custom crown on top — a fixed replacement for the single tooth you are missing.

Bone Grafting

When there isn't enough bone to support an implant yet, a bone graft can build it up so placement can go ahead.

Guided Implant Surgery

We plan implant position from your imaging ahead of surgery, so placement follows a plan instead of guesswork.

Implant Retained Dentures

Combines the support of implants with a denture you can still take out. The denture clips onto implants placed to hold it, so it stays put much better than a standard denture.

The Implant
Treatment Process

1

Placement

After you approve your treatment plan, we book the procedure, numb the area and set the titanium post into the jawbone. Everything else builds on this step.

2

Healing & Osseointegration

The gums settle down fairly quickly, while the bond between implant and bone takes about 3 to 6 months. We see you for check-ins during that time.

3

Applying the Restoration

Last, we attach a crown made to match your other teeth, and the missing tooth is replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions

It works in two parts: a small titanium post placed in the jawbone during surgery, and a crown made for your mouth that attaches on top. Since it's fixed rather than removable, it feels steady when you chew and works much like a natural tooth.

The part that sits in the bone is titanium, a medical-grade metal. On top goes a crown we have made from impressions of your bite, often in porcelain for its strength and enamel-like look.

Many implants stay in service for decades when they're placed well and looked after at home. The crown on top takes the daily wear and may need replacing at some point. Regular checkups let us keep an eye on both.

It isn't common, but it can happen. Gum infection around an implant is called peri-implantitis, and it's more likely when plaque is left to build up. Your best protection: follow the aftercare plan, brush and floss every day, and don't skip your cleanings.

They help. When a tooth is lost, the jawbone underneath it deteriorates from lack of stimulation. An implant acts like an artificial tooth root, transmitting chewing forces to the jawbone and helping maintain bone density.

Sometimes. In some cases the implant and a temporary tooth go in during the same visit, and you eat soft foods while it heals. At your consultation, we'll see whether it's an option in your case.

Yes. Financing options are available for implant treatment, including All-on-X. After your exam, the dentist goes over your implant plan with you, and our team reviews your financing choices and what your insurance covers before any work begins. Patients without dental insurance can also ask about our self-pay specials.
